Scott Turner had strong musical influences from his family while growing up, including his mother who played piano and sang with the voice of an angel. Religious hymns were always a part of her repertoire. Scott participated in his local church youth music group and as the youngest member of the Wellsboro Pennsylvania Choral Society, performing such longhaired pieces as Schubert's Mass in G and the Requiem Mass. By the age of 15 he was giving guitar lessons at the local music store and began writing and recording his own music. It was also at that time that he became good friends with the two brothers who would become his performance partners for many years, Mike and Dave Biddison. The three formed in the highly creative, energetic and entertaining band, Ticapoo Brain. With 3 strong harmonizing vocals in their three-piece band, the group grew as songwriters and the boys grew an expansive repertoire of original music.

After leaving College, Scott got a record deal with a small independent Pennsylvania record label and began working with producer Mike Garrison. Mike had heard of Scott's singing abilities and first asked him to work on a pop religious music project. This relationship later grew into a rock-based album project released as a 7-inch EP, entitled 3D, Part of the Dream.

Scott Turner performed with several band formations throughout Pennsylvania and New York State, spending some summers performing on the shore in New Jersey. He has toured and traveled from the backwood grease bars to some of the nicest musical venues available. From South Street to Greenwich Village, he has performed as a solo artist with acoustic guitar, voice and harmonica. Continuing to expand on his ability to play multiple instruments, he formed the band of one (bandof1), a one-man band concoction, once dreamed of and aspired to, an art which he ultimately achieved, enjoying a highly physically coordinated performance of playing drums, guitar and harmonica simultaneously, along with singing. The Bandof1 has become the core of Scott Turner's Studio creations, providing a strong core band and songwriting foundation that he can expand upon in the studio.

Scott Turner - "I'm a one man band kind of guy and I love to mix that in when I am playing with other musicians…
. . . I enjoy playing with other musicians, but I love the challenge, and the process, of creating musical pieces by playing multiple instruments myself. This, along with friends making special guest appearances, makes for my kind of music making fun..."

Simultaneous playing of guitar, drums, and harmonica, and singing, are at the core of Scott's live performances, but not left alone in the studio. In the studio he can create music by providing all the instrumentation necessary for a full production sound; drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, lap steel and resonator guitars, mandolin, harmonica, piano, keys, etc., even string arrangements.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Enjoy the Music!
